We are back on the road after a very busy week. But before going forward I have to go back to something that we completely enjoyed in Marquette, MI. There is a sculpture park south of the city. An individual has been working on pieces for many years. It is a drive through or walk through park and he charges nothing for you to enjoy his work. Some of it is his own personal agenda but most are pieces like the ones shown in these pictures. Lakenenland Sculpture Park is worth the stop if you are ever in the area.
Onward to Niagra Falls
After leaving Marquette we were unable to stay at our next park due to torrential downpours flooding the sites. We moved on and stayed on the road one night before landing back at home in Mesick. Time for that furnace repair before we go any further on this adventure. Rhonda and I caught up on our laundry and we played euchre. The guys beat us!
On the 26th of September we headed out once again. It is always bittersweet leaving the River House. We experience so much tranquility here. The sun popped out just long enough to make it a great farewell for now picture.

Picking up hitchhikers
We made a quick stop in Kalamazoo at my sister Sherry’s house and Flat Nathan could catch up with us for the remainder of the trip. Last year Flat Cole made our journey and big brother Cole told his classmates all about where he had been and what he had done. This year is little brother Nathan’s turn to send Flat Nathan along as part of his classroom project.

And even MORE hitchhikers
Our great granddaughter, Kinsley, has a love for Travis the Traveling Monkey so we decided we might as well bring him along also. These little guys are no trouble at all compared to George, the giant monkey who went to New Orleans with us on our first extended road trip. Always a surprise to see who will be going along when we hit the road.

Yesterday was a long day of travel. We went from Michigan into Indiana and finally ended at an RV park in Lake Geneva, Ohio. But this, morning we have just passed into the state of New York. Just about a two hour drive and we will be at Niagra Falls and ready to explore what this point of interest has to offer.
